Miami Escorts: Miami Dolphins’ Jake Grove, Channing Crowder remain at home
Crowder, meanwhile, has missed all but the first exhibition game because of an injury that was not easy to diagnose. The team appears to have a better handle on the situation now as it prepares to get him back onto the field sooner than later.
IRELAND, BRYANT TALK
General manager Jeff Ireland spent much of the pregame warm-ups catching up with a few old friends from his days in Dallas — but it was a quick conversation with another Cowboys player that garnered most of the attention.
In an attempt to make good after an ugly offseason drama, Ireland called rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant to a nearby sideline while the Cowboys were going through special teams drills.
Ireland extended his hand, and Bryant accepted. The two shook hands before talking for a brief time.
The history of Ireland and Bryant dates to a predraft interview earlier this year. According to Bryant, Ireland asked at one point whether his mother worked as a prostitute. The context of the conversation later became a national debate.
