2 injured after shooting outside nightclub
HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) — Two people are recovering in the hospital after a shooting outside a gentleman’s club, early Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened at about 4 a.m., near Spotlight Cabaret Gentleman’s Club, along East Eighth Avenue and 25th Street. According to Hialeah Police, an altercation between men inside the club led to the shooting at a nearby gas station. “That fight violently escalated into a shooting,” said Hialeah Police Detective Eddie Rodriguez.
Witnesses said, when an officer responded to the scene, shots had already been fired. When police arrived, an officer was forced to fire. “Once Hialeah Police arrived, one of our officers were forced to fire, once he was confronted by the subject,” said Rodriguez. “It is unknown if the officer actually made contact. Right now, it’s all part of the investigation.”

Two people were shot after a heated discussion inside SpotLight, a gentleman’s club in Hialeah, escalated into a shooting outside, reports Hialeah Police spokesperson Eddie Rodriguez.
The hundreds of patrons inside are being detained for questioning.
Wednesday police responded to a call about a fight at the adult entertainment club, located at 766 E. 25th Street, in the early morning hours of 3:30 a.m. By the time police arrived, a shooting had already occurred.
Rodriguez reports that an officer fired his gun after being confronted by an armed suspect. It is unclear whether this shot made contact with the suspect.
The incident ended with two people transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in good condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Rodriguez says that they have one person in custody and they are still investigating how and when shots were fired.
