Twitter would suggest it wasn’t the flu. McKinnie, who played in college at the University of Miami, tweeted Thursday night that he was at Mansion Miami, a nightclub in Miami Beach. Friday night, he tweeted that he was leaving the beach to go to King of Diamonds, a strip club.
“Really?” Houck said. “Well, this really is kind of a unique situation.”
McKinnie missed practice Friday and Saturday. And by “practice” we mean players spending about 45 minutes clowning around with no helmets, no pads and less contact than checkers.
After a league spokesman confirmed McKinnie’s dismissal, he responded to a text from our guy Chip Scoggins. In it, he said his body is hurting, that he’s having problems with his feet and, “I decided I didn’t wanna play.”
…
Instead, McKinnie’s image has never looked worse. But, hey, on a lighter note, check out Twitter. Maybe our Purple hero will tweet which strip club he’s watching the game from Sunday night.

FORT LAUDERDALE – Vikings offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie, no stranger to off-field problems, was kicked off the NFC Pro Bowl squad Saturday for missing his second consecutive practice without an excuse.
McKinnie, who made the first Pro Bowl of his eight-year career since the Vikings drafted him out of Miami in the first round as a backup, and Panthers Pro Bowl defensive end Julius Peppers both missed Friday’s practice. However, Peppers showed up at Lockhart Stadium Saturday and is expected to start Sunday.
McKinnie forfeits his share for appearing in the Pro Bowl, which will be either $22,500 or $45,000, depending on which team wins.
McKinnie actually detailed his South Beach partying route on his Twitter account Bigmacvikings with his last entry saying he was “leaving the beach headed to 2 KOD’s,” which apparently is a Miami strip club known as King of Diamonds.

These things are inevitable: death, taxes, and prostitutes coming to town for the Super Bowl.
For a large number of escorts willing to travel, this week represents the annual call to cash, the ritualistic mid-winter trip to whatever American city upon which the National Football League has so graciously bestowed its end-of-season coronation.
Politicians and media types may debate exactly what kind of stimulus the Super Bowl (and now, the Pro Bowl) actually gives the local economy, but there’s no debating the huge impact such events have on the economy of sex.
Ask Disco Rick, the “talent manager” (read: stripper wrangler) at King of Diamonds strip club, and he says “this week is going to be the biggest in strip club history in South Florida.” His club will have more than 500 women working this week.

A short time later, one of the suspects walks back outside and forces a man out on the street inside — also at gunpoint. Police say the suspects figured out the man was calling 911 on his cell phone, so they pulled him in and tied him up along with the other victims. The move provides police with one more shot of his face.
“They do appear to be Hispanic. We don’t have heights and weights from a specific source, but I think one suspect is about 5′6,” 5′7,” said Tomioka.
The men were inside for about 40 minutes. They shot and killed 44-year-old Xiao “Ben” Xiong Luo and tied up seven other people. The video came from the two surveillance cameras mounted on the front of the home. Police will not officially say what was going on inside the house, but sources say they are looking into whether this was the site of a brothel.
“We’re not prepared to call it a brothel yet. This is an ongoing investigation,” said police Chief George Gascon.
