Lamar Odom decided it might be best to skip on the stripper poles and little people for his bachelor party.
…
reports that NBA player has opted to have a quiet dinner with friends and his teammates from the Los Angeles Lakers last night at STK in West Hollywood. His original bash was to be held Les Duex and would have been hosted by Robert Kardashian, his soon-to-be brother-in-law, and Joe Francis, who created the Girls Gone Wild franchise. With the latter man involved in party planned we weren’t surprised to see that the invite boasted party amenities like “stripper poles” and “midgets.” Lamar appreciated the gesture, but at the last minute he announced a change of plans for the evening via Joe’s reps. “I regret, I will have to cancel this event because I have now decided to have a private dinner with my teammates, a few close friends,” Lamar said in a statement Thursday night. But after dinner,

Khloe and Pals Prep for “Girly” Bachelorette Party
September 25th, 2009 12:18 pm / Author: OK! Staff
With only a couple of days to go before Khloe Kardashian says “I do” to L.A. Lakers basketballer Lamar Odom on Sunday, the reality star’s gal-pals are quickly throwing together a proper night of “girly” activities for tonight to celebrate the happy occasion.
Sources close to the party tell OK! that Khloe’s bachelorette party is more about pampering and relaxing than about getting wild for one last time.
“They’ll all be getting facials, and mani-pedis… massages,” says one insider. “You know, really girly stuff. I don’t think you’ll see photos of Khloe parading around L.A. with a veil on or shoving dollar bills down some oiled-up stripper’s G-string.”
Which is a shame, because that would make for a sweet episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Although Lamar Odom decided to cancel his wild bachelor party at Les Deux last night, that doesn’t mean he stayed at home and watched TV!
Instead of attending the party that Joe Francis was planning at Les Deux that promised midgets and stripper poles, Khloe Kardashian’s future hubby decided to do things his way.
The 29-year-old Lakers player began the evening around 10:15 at STK restaurant in Los Angeles with Francis, Khloe’s brother Robert, Kourtney’s boyfriend Scott Disick, and some of his Los Angeles Lakers teammates and high school pals.
As the group dined on steaks, macaroni and cheese, fingerling potatoes, Yukon mashed potatoes and tuna tartare, the boys took shots of Johnny Walker & Lemon Drops and cheered “Mazel Tov!”
“Lamar was giddy, really happy to be around his friends, hugging a lot of them. Lamar even took a timeout to take photos with diners.”

Lamar Odom, the LA Laker, who is set to marry Khloe Kardashian on Sunday, backed out of the over-the-top bachelor party that Joe Francis and Khloe’s brother Rob were set to hold on Thursday night at Les Deux. Odom probably realized that a bachelor party thrown at a club by “Girls Gone Wild” guru (and by guru we mean “complete douche”), Joe Francis, probably wasn’t the best idea. Now if only he would realize the same about his shot-gun wedding.
Lamar Odom released a statement to TMZ explaining, “I am extremely thankful to Joe Francis and Rob Kardashian, for agreeing to host my bachelor party this evening at Hollywood hot spot Les Deux.”
Odom continued, “I regret, I will have to cancel this event because I have now decided to have a private dinner with my teammates, a few close friends and of course Joe Francis and Rob Kardashian.”
The original party was set to have stripper poles and midgets (we’re not joking), and we respect Odom for gracefully backing out of that disaster-waiting-to-happen…
