GOLDEN DELICIOUS: Teachers and Gwenyth Paltrow love them, and now you will, too – at least in its latest incarnation, a new restaurant and nightspot. Miami inherits another L.A. establishment with the opening of Apple. The cuisine is contemporary American, with Bryan Ogden – son of James Beard Award-winning chef Bradley Ogden – in the kitchen. Once the dinner plates are cleared, the restaurant morphs into a nightclub. 8-10 P.M.
PHOTO FINISH: Just sent your last Netflix in? Not emotionally stable enough to see “The Time Traveler’s Wife”? Get your international culture fix and go see the latest installment of the Miami Beach Cinematheque’s Global Lens series, “The Photograph.” All the way from Indonesia, this feature film is about a woman who works in a brothel to support her family and ends up becoming the tenant of an old photographer. A special relationship forms, and a slice of poignant humanity ensues. 8:30 P.M.

It seems nary a week can go by without my mentioning Channing Tatum. Once he was a hot young model who had no trouble posing nude. Then he got into movies. Then he got into food. Then he got GQ to invest a small fortune into airbrushing abs on his physique. Now a video has surfaced showing the 18-year-old “Chan Crawford” as a stripper in an all-male revue in Florida called Male Encounter which, sadly, caters to the ladies. It ended up being a good career move. At one of the shows, a female casting director took a shine to him and put him in Ricky Martin…or, rather, Ricky’s video She Bangs. And she certainly does in this video, which we’ll happily post on BillyMasters.com-along with a fully nude pic, just to keep you interested.

… Since the homeless confide in us and trust us, we feel it important to pass this along to you,” Father Bob wrote in a June 2008 e-mail addressed to the mayor, city commissioners and BSO officials.
In April 2009, an attorney called the Fort Lauderdale police saying two of his clients had complained about a cop inappropriately touching them. Fort Lauderdale then contacted BSO.
Over the next four months, detectives knocked on doors and worked to solidify the case, BSO Detective Graciela Benito said.
In July, Bleiweiss was reassigned to desk duty.
On Aug. 2, a Sunday night, Bleiweiss asked all his friends to a party at Johnny’s Bar, a gay strip club in Fort Lauderdale. It was out of character for the deputy, said Renzi, the editor of the Blade.

And where else but Florida would you find places like Square Grouper, named for the bales of marijuana that sometimes float ashore; The Last Resort, a biker bar where serial killer Aileen Wuornos drank her last beer, or a bar in Key West where Ernest Hemingway and Jimmy Buffett hung out (though not at the same time).
Florida has 23,398 licensed places to sit and drink a beer, wine or a cocktail. A long “research” trip around the state found many bars reflect the wild, eclectic, historic and often bizarre character of the state itself. Here are a few worth noting.
JIMBO’S, Duck Lake Road, Virginia Key: So hard to find, the Jimbosplace.com website has a video showing the way.
CHURCHILL’S, 5501 NE Second Ave., Miami: Serves English ales and bills itself as “a sort of English pub.” Marilyn Manson played his first gig here. It appeared in
There’s Something About Mary as a strip club.
